STAR WARS EPISODE 1: THE PHANTOM MENACE
The Galactic Republic is engulfed by turmoil. Thousands of years of peace and prosperity are threatened by the greed of powerful new commercial organizations, such as the Trade Federation, which have risen to challenge the authority of the Galactic Senate. To resolve disputes, the Republic must call on the negotiating skills of its guardians of peace and justice, the Jedi Knights. During their effort to resolve one such flash point - the blockade of Naboo by the trade federation - Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi become embroiled in a complex plot that ultimatly leads them to the desert planet Tatooine. There they discover a young slave, Anakin Skywalker, who shows amazing Force-potential. Qui-Gon believes he might be the "Chosen One" of Jedi lore, destined to bring balance to the force.
